About the Class

  1. Gather your materials, either from the kit, or supplies from home, (templates to make your own tools are provided!), and begin working through the sampler band lessons.

  2. Once you’ve practiced the basic skills, you can move through the rest of the projects. These build on each other in technique and difficulty

    • how to read and write patterns

    • use two types of heddles

    • warp and prep the loom

    • maintain even width

    • craft pickup patterns

    • use hardware to turn your bands into useful items

  3. The end of the class includes a library of patterns and templates to continue exploring your own band ideas.

Just when you think you’ve learned everything about using a heddle, I’ve added a BONUS chapter on Tablet Weaving. This could be an entire class on its own, but you get it for free inside the class.

The bonus chapter includes how to read and write card weaving patterns, how to prepare and warp the cards and how to make a bag strap.
