Announcement: Changes to my Monthly Weaving Series
It’s the last day of 2023 and it’s been a great year. I’ve met some goals and milestones this year and am excited to see what’s in store in my personal and work life! There is one accomplishment I’m incredibly proud of… but it’s time for a change.
In January 2019 I started a personal goal to create a new weaving project tutorial every month for a year. I had so much fun using it as an excuse to check off some patterns and techniques that were on my ‘someday’ list. I also invited you to join me, by subscribing to get the tutorial each month and was blown away by how many of you signed up and shared pictures of your versions of my projects.
When the year was up I was sad that the series has come to an end. I didn’t want to stop because I still had projects and techniques on my list! So, I continued. I kept releasing a different project each month. And you kept showing up. The highlight of my weeks was getting messages and tags from you, showing me which project you were working on and how you elevated the ideas I shared.
It has now been FIVE years.
60 PROJECTS.
I still have more I want to do! (That’s one of the best things about weaving - there is SO much to try. It’s a craft filled with lifelong learning.)
However, I know that the subscription situation I currently have is no longer working as well. When I began, it made sense to charge a fee for each month, and to send out the class of that month. It was kind of like a subscription box, where you get the product for that month. If you wanted any past classes, there were available a la carte.
As my catalog and subscription list grew, it became overwhelming. For me, because I had to manually email the list to an ever-growing list. And for you, because there were so many past projects to choose from. I had sales twice a year to help you stock up on the past projects, but there were so many good ones, you had to miss out on some!
All that to say, it’s time for a change.
I will be moving all of my past projects to a membership site, like Patreon, or a section on my own website. When you join the subscription you will get access to my entire library! Even if you’ve been a subscriber for a few months or years, it will be better and easier to access all of the tutorials in one place.
I will also continue to add new tutorials to the list. It probably won’t be each month because there are other projects I want to focus on, but members will get instant access to new projects (along with all of the past as well!)
If you are a current subscriber, you can expect December’s class in your inbox sometime next week. Then, tomorrow (January 1st) you will get a notification that your current subscription has been terminated.
It will take me a few days to set up the new system and import all 60 projects, so be on the lookout for an announcement on how to subscribe to the new system!
