Making a Woven Tapestry Wall

If a tapestry is displayed in my home, it is somehow framed. I love how it turns a handwoven piece into a modern work of art. The best part is that framing a weave is super easy! This woven gallery wall is one of my favorite features in my house. I used shadow boxes to give more depth for the tapestries to ‘breath’ and showcase their textural qualities.

This is a great way to display all those beautiful weavings you’ve made… here’s how:

Step 1: Find shadow boxes that compliment your weavings and take the backs off

Step 2: Cut a piece of paper to fit inside the frame

Step 3: Sew your tapestry to the paper, put the frame back together and hang it up on the gallery wall!
