The tapestry projects in my monthly weaving series are meant to work with many different materials. I will include the brand and link to the exact materials I use in my video, but feel free to search your own collection and area to find materials that would work as well. There are many ways to make this project your own, by changing the size, the colors and the materials. You can make the project from start to finish, or borrow the techniques I use to apply to your own design. Either way, it will be uniquely yours!
sugar and cream cotton 4 ply in ecru: used for Warp string, TWINING and fringe
Lion Brand STARLIGHT Gold and CREAM YARN for bulk of tapestry
LION BRAND FISHERMAN WOOL FOR FRINGE
Extra thin wide eye bead needle for sequins
heat soluble pens for drawing design on warp
I incorporate metal sequins in my project, which you can get from a few different sources. You can also use plastic or vinyl sequins for more color, although they won’t sparkle or make noise.
