I’m Lindsey—the maker, teacher, and fiber fanatic behind Hello Hydrangea. I call the sunny desert of Arizona home, where I live with my husband, our three kids, and our zoo of pets.

From a College Blog to a Creative Community

Hello Hydrangea started as a little corner of the internet where I shared crafty experiments and snippets of everyday life during my college years. In the midst of life’s twists and turns, I discovered weaving as a way to quiet my mind and create something beautiful. What began as a personal passion project soon grew into a full-blown fiber-arts adventure—and I’ve been weaving my heart out ever since!

Designs, Features, and Collaborations

The moment I first picked up a loom, I was hooked—and over the years I’ve been honored to turn that obsession into dream-come-true projects for brands like Anthropologie, Nordstrom, and JOANN Crafts. My work has appeared in magazines and blog features, but the biggest thrill is always seeing a student’s face light up when they finish their first piece.

Why Teaching Matters to Me

More than anything, I love guiding others to fall in love with weaving, too. I’ve written two weaving books, created a library of online classes, and taught hundreds of eager makers in in-person workshops. My goal is simple: make fiber arts approachable, uplifting, and—above all—fun. Whether you have ten minutes or two hours, my motto is always the same: Create for Yourself.
