Reupholstering: Taking it apart

So my brother and sister in-law inspired us to try our hand at reupholstering this summer. They started getting old table sets from yard-sales and fixing them up in their garage. When we returned from Houston I happened upon this little sweetie at our local thrift store. I snapped a photo to send to my husband because we had been talking about taking on a real reupholstery project. When he saw my message he sent me 3 texts: "get it!" "just kidding" "or maybe?" Ofcourse I got it.

From what I have read and experienced this is the method I followed: back, outside of arms, back cushion, wings, inside of arms, seat. It takes a flat head screwdriver to pry the staples and nails out of the chair... and alot of time. We were surprised to find that the body above the seat was made from some type of plastic fiber. Don't worry - it's not toxic. We checked.
For a while it sat in our apartment, waiting for some more cushions and a perfect fabric. Check back for an update on our progress!
