Everyday

I think it's time to update you all on our latest and greatest adventure. The time that we've been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting finally arrived and time has been going insanely fast and incredibly slow at the same time.
To start out, we both graduated with our Bachelor degrees in December and have been propelled into the non-student world. As you know from my chaotic posts these last two years, we have moved back and forth between Utah and Texas for school and internships. Gladly, it paid off and my handsome Chemical Engineering husband was offered a job back in Houston. This meant we got to move to a warmer climate and he gets to work at a place that already feels like home!
We waved goodbye to good 'ol Utah as soon as we could and packed our tiny apartment up and headed to the Lone Star state for the last time. As always, we stopped in Arizona to visit family on our way through the Southern states. The Christmas oranges were extra orange and the house was extra full with family - it was a blast!
After we felt that we had bugged our family enough in Arizona we repacked our bags and continued the journey to Houston. We have been dreaming of getting a little furry friend for years.
Literally three days after we arrived we stopped by the local Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston and got to know each of their bearded boarders personally. They are such a great organization and we are so glad they helped us take home our floppy-eared Schnauzer! Believe me, you will be seeing him around here a lot!
With so many changes in our life we decided to take it slow and move into an apartment instead of house-hunting right away. We found the perfect place in the middle of the city that feels as though it is in the middle of the country. It was a win-win and we felt right at home.
No one ever told us that unpacking the contents of our previous 400 square foot home would take so long! Where have we been stashing all this stuff? We are finally settling in, getting to know our new area, and making lots of new friends.
I know my promised break has lasted a little longer than I expected but I am finally back in business. Let's do some fun stuff!
